Why we exist

When you are here, the estate belongs to you. No rush. No itinerary.

Eleven rooms across a living forest, forty-five minutes from Whitefield. Calm is not a feature here. It is the whole design.

What is in the name

Why Orchid Tree

The orchid tree is a real one, a flowering tree that blooms quietly and asks for nothing in return. It was the right name for a place built around living trees, with cottages raised around their trunks and orchids tucked into the forest floor. A small name to remember the calm by.

The principles

How it was built

The solar-powered pool set within the estate's greenery
01

Sustainable by design

Solar power, recycled water, eco-friendly toiletries. Built to tread lightly on the land it sits within.

02

Shaped by nature

The trees stayed. Cottages were raised around living trunks, baths left open to the sky.

03

Structured calm

Architecture that bends around the forest, so there is always room to breathe.

The architect of stillness

"Orchid Tree is an estate that asks nothing of you."

Pradeep Kuppa Swamy

The landscape architect behind Infosys Mysore, Biocon and Britannia, and a winner of the World Architecture Award. A photographer, a biker, a golfer, and a student of stillness. Orchid Tree is his reflection on that.
